Cordish Gaming Group, the gaming division of The Cordish Companies, has appointed GREG HINTON as Vice President of Finance for the upcoming Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana. This $270+ million gaming, dining, hotel and entertainment destination, set to debut in Bossier City on February 13, 2025, will introduce the first landside casino in the Shreveport-Bossier market.
In his role as Vice President of Finance, Mr. Hinton will oversee financial operations across key departments, including accounting, analytics, casino cage operations, finance, income and revenue auditing, count rooms, purchasing/warehouse, and scheduling. He will lead financial strategy, development and operational management, providing critical insights to guide the financial health and performance of this new premier destination.
“Greg’s extensive experience in finance and operations will be invaluable as we prepare for our early 2025 opening,” said John J. Chaszar, Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana Executive Vice President and General Manager. “His leadership will be instrumental in shaping a world-class gaming and entertainment experience that will redefine the industry in Northwest Louisiana and the Ark-La-Tex region.”
A finance and operations veteran, Mr. Hinton began his career at Price Waterhouse in 1983. His most recent role was as Galveston Area Director of Finance for Landry’s, a diversified hospitality, gaming and entertainment company based in Houston, Texas. Previously, he served as Chief Financial Officer for Louisiana Downs Casino and Racetrack, Chief Financial Officer of Coushatta Casino Resort in Lake Charles and Chief Financial Officer of Margaritaville Resort Casino in Bossier City.
Mr. Hinton has also held significant leadership roles, including President and General Manager of Harlow’s Casino Resort & Spa in Greenville, Mississippi, Vice President and General Manager at Penn National Gaming, Inc., and various executive roles with Caesars Entertainment Inc./Harrah’s Entertainment, Inc. He earned a Master of Business Administration in finance, marketing, and strategy from Northwestern University, a Bachelor of Science in business administration from California State Polytechnic University and certifications in hospitality, tourism and casino management from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

The Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana project is expected to generate substantial economic impact, delivering $35 million in gaming tax revenues for Bossier City and over $168 million for the state within the first five years. It will create over 750 new permanent jobs in gaming and hospitality, with approximately $34 million annually in combined salaries, wages and tips.
Upon its grand opening, Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana will showcase over 47,000 square feet of cutting-edge gaming space with more than 1,000 slot machines, 40 live-action table games, and a sportsbook. The upscale 550-room hotel will feature a resort pool and fitness center, complemented by a 25,000-square-foot Event Center for concerts and conventions. Guests will enjoy an array of dining and entertainment options across 30,000 square feet, including The Prime Rib® steakhouse, Sports & Social, PBR Cowboy Bar, Luk Fu and Ridotto Grand Café.
