will host a free “Financial Empowerment for Everyone” program at noon on Thursday, Jan. 16, at the Beltrami County History Center, 130 Minnesota Ave. SW.

St. John has built a career in financial services, holding roles as a personal banker, licensed producing banker, licensed personal banker and branch manager.
Since 2008, she has also been a licensed insurance agent specializing in property, automobile, farm insurance and safe investment options. St. John is partnered with a mortgage broker to provide clients with competitive mortgage solutions and low closing costs.
“Passionate about client education, Rachel focuses on helping individuals understand their financial and insurance options with complete transparency,” the release said. “She empowers clients through education and collaboration to create a better financial future.”
For much of history, women were denied financial independence. Women in the United States were not legally allowed to apply for a credit card in their own name without a male cosigner until 1974 when the Equal Credit Opportunity Act was passed. Despite progress, inequities persist, the release said.
“Even today, women are sometimes questioned about their ability to make major financial decisions independently,” explained the release. “Programs like this aim to equip everyone with the knowledge and confidence to make informed financial decisions, breaking down barriers and empowering individuals to take control of their futures.”
